Avsar started business in 1993 in Edison, NJ in the heart of "little India". It was the first business in the area dedicated to providing decorations for weddings and social events with a specialty for "traditional" Indian decor. We also have the largest selection of costumes available for rent for all types of dances and dramas.

Avsar was started and is operated by Sandhya Patel. She has helped create this industry through hard work, determination, and personal experience. She has extensive experience of over three decades in the entertainment field as both an artist(singer) and an organizer. She has also won many awards as a dance instructor and choreographer.
